Bel Ami: The movie

A movie based on the famous novel by Guy De Maupassant; Bel Ami will come out during summer 2012 staring some renowned actors such as Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas.

If the trailer and on screen photos are anything to go by, Bel Ami stays true to the lust and luxury of turn-of-the-century France where romance is in the air and money is everywhere. Through the journey up the social ladder of Georges Duroy, the movie depict a lavish world, a symbol of rich and power that stand the test of time.

Filming began week of February 8, 2010 in London where interior sets were shot and moved to Budapest, Hungary for exterior scenes. The movie will hit theater in US and UK in March 2, 2012. The International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize (IMMARBE) is under the Ministry of Finance, with its Head Office located in Belize City. The Registration of Merchant Ships Act, 1989 as amended in 1996 governs the merchant fleet.

It facilitates and controls all registrations. The Registry operates through a network of Designated Offices worldwide. These offices are empowered to process applications for registration and to issue the relevant documentation. Belize has been included in the IMO White List and the Registry has attained ISO 9001-2000 Certification by ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (USA). On 27th June 2007, IMMARBE received official notification from the United States Coast Guard that for the second year in succession, it has re-qualified for its Quality Shipping for 21st Century (QUALSHIP 21) Program. Belize is 1 of 10 out of 166 flag states in the world holding this qualification in 2007 and the only one in Central America.

The Belami is one step closer to perfection

The completion of the belami is finally coming to an end and it is now just a matter of time until the boat set sail.

Perfection is attained by slow degrees; it requires the hand of time

Vuot Song Shipyard, the company building the Belami, is now putting all their efforts into the finishing, furnishing and decoration in order to make of the Belami a beautifully finished masterpiece.

Planned to be launched before the end of 2011 and to start the first cruises early 2012, the Belami will be the first and only boat of her kind in Vietnam. Besides her unique design, the choosen itinerary will bring the guests toward unknown destinations that still remain out of the mass tourism.
